Borage Oil is obtained from the seeds of the plant known as Borage (Borago officinalis). Its seeds contain a high quantity of Omega 6 essential fatty acids, from which GLA (gamma linolenic acid) is synthesized, which is a precursor of prostaglandins (PGE1), an elementary hormonal substance for metabolism, which influences blood circulation, the skin and the immune system. At a skin level, it is essential for maintaining the structure and flexibility of the cell membrane. It regulates sebum secretion and skin oil, the main factors in the development of acne. It also reduces the loss of collagen, preventing the appearance of wrinkles. Due to the production of anti-inflammatory substances, prostaglandins, borage oil can help reduce the inflammation associated with rosacea. It is also effective in the treatment of eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis; at a hormonal level, it regulates estrogen, progesterone and prolactin in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. It helps alleviate the symptoms of menopause (breast tenderness, sweating, mood swings), as borage oil is able to stimulate the adrenal glands and influence the improvement of the production of the hormone adrenaline, which is associated with feelings of well-being and pleasure; it has anti-inflammatory properties and is beneficial in cases of rheumatoid arthritis, relieving pain, inflammation and associated stiffness; it prevents arteriosclerosis by preventing the decrease in the elasticity of the nerves that can cause strokes, heart attacks and aneurysms; it cleanses and helps the kidneys function, as it has a diuretic effect on the body. Having an anti-inflammatory action, borage oil acts on abdominal fat, which is where most of the toxins that hinder weight loss settle, and can therefore aid in the weight loss process.
How to Use: Take 1 softgel, 1 to 2 times a day, preferably with a meal. After opening, store in a cool, dry place.
