Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is one of the necessary elements for maintaining human function and health. Its main function is its antioxidant action, contributing to the elimination of free radicals and inhibition of various inflammatory conditions. Since humans are unable to synthesize vitamin C, it must be ingested through food or supplementation.

Hawa Alkaline Vitamin C is a complete and bioavailable supplement of non-acidic vitamin C, in order to mitigate gastric irritation caused by the acidity of ascorbic acid. It contains two sources of vitamin C: calcium ascorbate and L-ascorbyl palmitate.

Calcium ascorbate is a non-acidic form of vitamin C, with a higher bioavailability and an antioxidant activity similar to ascorbic acid.

L-ascorbyl palmitate is a more stable and fat-soluble form, derived from ascorbic acid. It maintains its antioxidant characteristics and as it is fat-soluble it manages to pass the blood-brain barrier.
