    Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin that can have a beneficial effect on a number of body structures and functions.

    Biotin in greater amounts, as present in Thorne's biotin-8, supports glucose metabolism, stimulating glucose-induced insulin secretion in pancreatic beta cells and accelerating glucose metabolism in the liver. Biotin also increases sensitivity to muscle insulin, increasing the absorption of glucose by muscle cells.
