Möller's is a Norwegian cod liver oil brand that has been around since 1854 and is now the number one omega-3 brand in Norway. It has been part of the daily routine of Scandinavian families for generations and remains 100% Norwegian: from fishing to production, everything takes place in Norway.

Wild Arctic cod

The oil comes from 100% wild cod, caught in Arctic waters by small traditional boats off the Lofoten Islands, the Vesterålen Islands and the northern coast of Norway. That is where the skrei arrives, the cod that travels hundreds of kilometres across the Barents Sea to spawn. The fish is processed within 24 hours of being caught, and the liver is a byproduct of cod processing, not a fish caught solely for the oil.

Freshness checked up to eight times

The oil is purified and refined in several stages and checked up to eight times throughout the process, with additional checks at the factory in Oslo. It meets the Codex Alimentarius freshness standards for fish oils and those of the GOED, the international organisation for EPA and DHA, and is packaged in a glass bottle. The brand is Friend of the Sea certified for sustainable fishing, and the taste of its cod liver oil has been recognised by the International Taste Institute in Brussels.

The cod is 100% wild, caught in Arctic waters by small traditional boats in the Lofoten Islands, the Vesterålen Islands and along the northern coast of Norway, and is processed within 24 hours of being caught. The liver is used during the fish processing, and the remaining waste is turned into biofuel and animal feed.

3. Verified freshness and certification

The oil is checked up to eight timesduring refining, with additional checks at the Oslo factory, and meets the freshness standards of the Codex Alimentarius and GOED. It comes in a glass bottle and is Friend of the Sea certified for sustainable fishing.

4. Formats and precautions
