Borage Oil is obtained from the seeds of the plant known as Borage (Borago officinalis). Its seeds contain a high quantity of Omega 6 essential fatty acids, from which GLA (gamma linolenic acid) is synthesized, which is a precursor of prostaglandins (PGE1), an elementary hormonal substance for metabolism, which influences blood circulation, the skin and the immune system. At a skin level, it is essential for maintaining the structure and flexibility of the cell membrane. It regulates sebum secretion and skin oil, the main factors in the development of acne.
