Bitter X Quicksilver Scientific: liposomal extract of four bitter plants

Bitter X is Quicksilver Scientific's most concentrated bitter plant formula. The American brand was created by Dr. Christopher Shade and specializes in supplements with liposomal technology. The formula brings together four plants with an intensely bitter taste: dandelion, gentian, goldenrod, and myrrh. The result is a clear liquid that is taken directly by mouth, with a hint of sweet orange essential oil.

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale, root): a common plant in Europe. The roasted root has been used for centuries as a coffee substitute and the leaves are used in salads in traditional cuisine.

Gentian (Gentiana lutea, root): a European mountain plant, known as one of the bitterest roots in existence. It is a classic ingredient in traditional aperitifs and bitter liqueurs.

Goldenrod (Solidago gigantea, aerial parts): a yellow-flowered plant of the Asteraceae family, related to the European goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea).

Myrrh (Commiphora spp., oleoresin): an aromatic resin extracted from trees in the Arabian Peninsula and the Horn of Africa, used since ancient times.

Sweet orange essential oil: provides aroma to the formula and balances the bitter taste.

The bitter taste is intentional, as it is what defines this type of formula.
