NOW Foods Dairy Digest Complete is a digestive enzyme food supplement in vegetable capsules, in a pack of 90 capsules. Each capsule contains 65 mg of a dairy enzyme blend — lactase, protease and lipase — which act, respectively, on the lactose, proteins and fat in milk. The enzymes are obtained by controlled fermentation of selected fungi. It may suit adults who consume dairy products and want an enzyme supplement to accompany those meals, as a complement to a varied and balanced diet.

Ingredients

• Lactase (from Aspergillus oryzae) — 1,000 ALU per capsule. An enzyme that breaks down lactose, the sugar in milk, into glucose and galactose.
• Protease (from Aspergillus oryzae and Aspergillus niger) — 25,000 HUT per capsule. An enzyme that breaks down proteins, including milk proteins, into peptides and amino acids.
• Lipase (from Rhizopus oryzae) — 600 FIP per capsule. An enzyme that breaks down dietary fat triglycerides into glycerol and fatty acids.
• Other ingredients — microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose (cellulose capsule) and silicon dioxide.
