Allergy Research Group Lutein provides 20 mg of lutein and 1 mg of zeaxanthin per softgel. Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids, yellow pigments found in dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale, and in egg yolk.

Carotenoids are fat-soluble, so the formula comes in safflower oil, in a softgel, to be taken with a meal. It includes mixed tocopherols (natural vitamin E) that protect the oil from oxidation.

Pack of 60 softgels, to be taken 1 per day.
