Zeinpharma Lutein 20 mg is a food supplement containing 20 mg of lutein per plant-based capsule, obtained from 400 mg of marigold flower extract standardised to 5% lutein. According to the manufacturer, the lutein is microencapsulated to protect it from light, heat and oxidation. The formula is vegan, manufactured in Germany and free from magnesium stearate.

Lutein is a natural pigment from the carotenoid family, found in green leafy vegetables and yellow and orange flowers, such as marigolds. In this formula, the flower extract is the only active ingredient and the capsule is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Take one capsule daily, ideally with a meal containing fat, as lutein is fat-soluble.
