For those who want omega-3s without added flavorings, NORSAN Omega-3 TOTAL Natural combines fish oil and extra virgin olive oil in a simple liquid. Each spoonful provides a generous amount of omega-3 EPA and DHA, as well as vitamin D3 and vitamin E. The oil comes from small, certified wild-caught fish, is purified in Norway, and is neither concentrated nor chemically modified. It makes sense for adults who eat little oily fish, prefer neutral flavors, and want an easy habit: one tablespoon per day with a meal, taken straight or mixed into cold foods.

The oil in TOTAL Natural comes from small deep-sea fish, such as sardines, mackerel, and anchovies, caught in the Atlantic in fisheries certified by Friend of the Sea. It is extracted from the whole fish, processed a few hours after capture, and purified in Norway without concentration. It has more EPA than DHA and includes DPA, another long-chain omega-3 fatty acid.

The extra virgin olive oil naturally protects the oil from oxidation and softens the taste without the need for flavorings. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) complete the formula. It is the choice within the TOTAL range for those who prefer a neutral flavor that is easy to mask in cold foods.

Does TOTAL Natural taste of fish?
It has no added flavouring, so it tastes of the oil itself, softened by extra virgin olive oil. Mixing it into yoghurt, a smoothie or a cold salad makes it more discreet.
How many omega-3 capsules does one spoonful equal?
One 8 ml spoonful provides 1,640 mg of EPA and DHA. A standard 1,000 mg fish oil capsule typically provides about 300 mg of EPA and DHA, so you would need 5 to 6 capsules to reach the same amount.
How much EPA and DHA is in each dose?
Each 8 ml provides 2,000 mg of omega-3, including 1,040 mg EPA, 600 mg DHA and 120 mg DPA, plus 20 µg of vitamin D3.
How long does one bottle last?
The 200 ml bottle contains 25 doses of 8 ml, about three and a half weeks of daily use. Two bottles cover about 7 weeks.

How are the oil's purity and freshness ensured?
The oil is purified in Norway and the label carries the IFOS seal, an independent programme that tests fish oils for contaminants and oxidation, and the Friend of the Sea seal, which certifies sustainable fishing. Extra virgin olive oil and tocopherols protect the oil from oxidation.
What is the difference from TOTAL lemon?
The nutritional composition is the same. TOTAL lemon contains lemon oil for a citrus taste; Natural has no added flavouring.
How should it be stored after opening?
In the fridge, to be used within 45 days. Below 4 °C crystals may form; they disappear at room temperature, just shake before use.
Can I take it during pregnancy or give it to children?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before use, not least because each dose contains 20 µg of vitamin D3 on top of any other supplements. TOTAL Natural is intended for adults.
