These are two trace elements with recognized functions in the skin, bones, connective tissues, and cell protection. This product provides both in a single tablet. It makes sense for adults who prefer a focused formula over a general multivitamin.

Zinc and manganese are two minerals the body uses in these structures — zinc for the maintenance of normal skin, hair, and nails, and manganese for the normal formation of connective tissues. This Nutrined tablet combines both, in a daily dose, with zinc in the form of zinc-L-methionine and manganese as glycinate chelate.

The formula has only two components, both essential trace elements. Zinc is provided as zinc-L-methionine, a form in which the mineral is associated with an amino acid; manganese as glycinate chelate. These are delivery forms, and what matters for the recognized functions is the mineral itself.

The functions of the two intersect at two points — cell protection and bone maintenance — and diverge in others: zinc has recognized functions in the skin, hair, nails, and immunity; manganese in connective tissues and energy metabolism. This is a narrow and defined formula, not a multivitamin.

How it fits in

Compared to an isolated zinc supplement, it adds manganese. Compared to a multivitamin, it is more focused and without the remaining nutrients. In a single-dose tablet, it eliminates the need to manage multiple doses.
