Zeinpharma 5-HTP provides 100 mg of 5-hydroxytryptophan per plant-based capsule, derived from a natural Griffonia simplicifolia seed extract standardized to 30% 5-HTP. The formula contains only two ingredients: the extract and a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule, and is free from magnesium stearate. It is vegan and gluten-, lactose- and soy-free.

5-hydroxytryptophan is a compound derived from the amino acid L-tryptophan. Griffonia simplicifolia, also known as African bean, is a plant native to West Africa whose seeds are one of the richest natural sources of 5-HTP. The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule daily with water, either with or between meals.
