Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is one of the elements necessary for maintaining human health and function. Its main function is its antioxidant action, contributing to the elimination of free radicals and the inhibition of various inflammatory conditions. Since humans are unable to synthesize vitamin C, it must be ingested through food or supplementation.

Hawa Alkaline Vitamin C is a complete and bioavailable supplement of non-acidic vitamin C, designed to mitigate gastric irritation caused by the acidity of ascorbic acid. It contains two sources of vitamin C: calcium ascorbate and L-ascorbyl palmitate.

Calcium ascorbate is a non-acidic form of vitamin C, with higher bioavailability and similar antioxidant activity to ascorbic acid.

L-ascorbyl palmitate is a more stable and fat-soluble form, derived from ascorbitic acid. It maintains its antioxidant properties and, as it is fat-soluble, it can pass through the blood-brain barrier.

Citrus bioflavonoids, naturally present in citrus fruits, have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to prevent cell damage by directly eliminating free radicals and therefore preventing their harmful effects.
